In the aftermath of a fiery encounter, Portuguese coach Mourinho – who once again cut a lively figure on the sidelines — accused Galatasaray’s coaching team of “jumping like monkeys” on the bench, sparking a racism storm that has seen legal action threatened.
Mourinho was angered by a number of incidents throughout the match, including one on the half-hour mark that saw Gala striker Osimhen take a tumble inside the box. His penalty appeals were waved away, but the Nigeria international made a pointing of aiming a shushing gesture in the direction of Mourinho – leaving the Portuguese “triggered”.
Ex-Roma boss Mourinho has previously accused Napoli loanee Osimhen of “diving too much”, having faced one another in Italy, and there appears to be no love lost between the pair – with the self-anointed ‘Special One’ continuing to ruffle feathers in Turkey.
