While the confirmation of the 25-year-old's arrival seems imminent, head coach Amorim said that it may take a while as the Red Devils prepare for a busy summer transfer window following their dismal season.
Amorim told reporters: "You have to wait for that. It won’t confirm anything. I have no news. We will see. There will be some changes."
United finished 15th in the Premier League and lost out on a place in European competition after losing the Europa League final against Tottenham. They suffered further humiliation on Wednesday when they lost to the ASEAN All Stars in Malaysia. As well as Cunha, United have been linked with Ipswich striker Liam Delap, while players like Alejandro Garnacho, Marcus Rashford and Antony are expected to be sold.
